Village, supported by ABYA and BRBA, will showcase 36 brokers and over 900 of their boat listings
01.07.2010 – FAREHAM, Hampshire – YachtWorld.com, the world’s leading Internet yacht brokerage portal and a division of Dominion Enterprises, today announced that the YachtWorld Brokers Village at the forthcoming Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show has set a new record with 36 brokers participating. An innovative concept, which brings together boat buyers and professional yacht brokers at international boat shows, the YachtWorld Brokers Village creates a buzzing marketplace for visitors specifically looking for used boats where they are able to browse through high-quality brokerage listings. The YachtWorld Brokers Village is supported by The Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA) and the Boat Retailers and Brokers Association (BRBA).
Dominic Smulders, Chairman of the BRBA said: “BRBA, ABYA and YachtWorld.com have always shared common values in the promotion of professional yacht brokerage, so it was a very simple decision to bring these values together for the benefit of the public at the Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show. It’s important to educate consumers on the correct procedures to follow when buying a boat and our help desk in the Brokers Village will ensure that buyers have a destination for their questions on all the aspects surrounding the purchase of a new or pre-owned boat.”
“This new record for participation is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of the Broker Village concept for all parties.” said Robert Corden, commercial director, YachtWorld.com and Boats.com International. “The sale of existing boats is an essential component of a vibrant boating market and our concept provides the ideal forum to facilitate these sales.”
